Not every motorcycle has room for luggage racks. Narrow travel enduros and dual sport bikes call for a system that works with the frame instead of building around it. For those bikes, Enduristan developed the Hailstorm 35: a rackless luggage system that mounts directly on the seat, without racks or permanent mounting points.
Capacity
The Hailstorm 35 offers a balanced, versatile volume that keeps your load efficient and manageable. Enough space for all kinds of rides, without giving up organisation or agility. Used on its own or combined with extra storage: the 35-litre size delivers practical volume for riders who like a clean, streamlined packing experience.
Construction
In the middle sits the Structural Center Piece, made from Self Reinforced Polypropylene (SRPP), which rests on the rear of the bike between the two bags. This stiff, structural element distributes the load evenly, stabilises the whole system and makes the width of the Hailstorm 35 adjustable.
Thanks to this adjustable design, the system fits different seat widths and rear layouts, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of motorcycles. The Structural Center Piece can also be combined with the Anchor Point for Hailstorm for strap-free mounting at the rear (Anchor Point not included): ideal for bikes without rear mounting points. How that works is explained in Anchor Point for Hailstorm.
Fitted with the CRR Breakaway System: the break piece is integrated into the system and replaceable, so a fall or snagged load won't bring your ride to a halt.
Modular
Each bag features three patented Enduristan Standard Interfaces, so you can expand modularly with extra accessories. The interfaces sit on the flap (1×3), the front (2×2) and the rear (2×4), so you attach add-on bags exactly where you need them.
You can also see what fits where in the selector.
Layout
Under the left flap, a bungee cord system lets you secure small items quickly. Under the right flap, a zip pocket offers protected storage for documents or other smaller items.
The Hailstorm 35 comes with perfectly fitting inner bags that follow the exact shape of the outer bags. That way you take all your gear out in one go without removing the whole luggage system from the bike: ideal for a hotel stop or setting up camp. The inner bags have a carry handle and attachment points for an optional shoulder strap (not included).
Installation
Read more about mounting without a luggage rack in How to mount soft luggage on a rackless dual sport.
Protection
The entire underside of the luggage system has removable EVA padding to protect your motorcycle. Protective stickers are included to prevent scratches where the CRR system touches the bike. Depending on the bike and the position of the exhaust, we recommend using an additional Inferno Heat Shield (not included).
As with all Enduristan products: fully water-, dust-, mud- and snowproof, without needing an inner bag.
